To kick things off...I've deleted all of my old posts. I'm not going to dwell on the past, only live in the present and have high hopes for the future. You'll likely see quite a few quotes as you read my journal entries. I have taken to reading lots of inspirational and devotional material. Some quotes I find on my own, and some are shared by dear friends. Thank you to each and every one of you that has stood by, sometimes listening, sometimes giving advice or a hug, many times throwing an extra prayer our way. The support of each of you is needed and very much appreciated.
Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway.

I was afraid. There, I've said it! I was terrified to restart this journey for fear of failure and lack of results. I realize, no matter what happens, that we will always have happiness. We will always have each other, our families, and our friends. We have a beautiful love for one another and are truly grateful to have found something so special. No matter how hard or long our journey is to having children, we will always cherish each other and the beautiful life we have created together.

So, the car is no longer in park. We're at a slow roll...waiting for a cycle to begin. I will have an ultrasound and loads of blood work done on day 2 or 3 of my next cycle. Then I will be taking Clomid (150mg) on days 5-9. On day 12 I will have another ultrasound and estradiol test. From there, the doctor will have orders for us to continue monitoring every 1-3 days (ultrasound and estradiol test) until he is satisfied with the number and size of follicles as well as the estradiol results. Provided all goes well, we will induce ovulation with an Ovidrel injection at some point and follow up with an IUI (intrauterine insemination - how romantic!) the next day. Then...we wait...two weeks...and see what happens. :) My best guess is that our first IUI will be in the beginning of March if we see results with the drugs this cycle.

If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again.
