Tuesday, June 14th we celebrated our 14 year wedding anniversary.
14 years ago I married my best friend. Today, I am more in love with Brian Carson than the day we met, the day we married, and even more than yesterday. Thank you for being such an incredible partner and for traveling the incredible journey of life with me. I love you forever! ♥
Our wedding was many years ago. The celebration continues to this day. ~Gene Perret
P.S. And Ever ♥
While there are things in life that break my heart such as the challenges we have faced in trying to have a family, there are many more reasons for the two of us to be happy.
Let's start with the fact that I am married to the most amazing man in the world. He gave me part of my anniversary gift early. The man bought me a DRESS!!! Now, those that know me know that I am not much for dresses, but I do enjoy getting all dolled up every once in a while. Especially for the man I love. (Pictures coming soon...there needs to be a small alteration and fabulous hair do before I can show this thing off.) But let me tell you, he did an AMAZING job picking it out! Can't wait to show you all. :) He also bought me the most beautiful amethyst ring. It will be 6-8 weeks before I actually have it on my finger...had to be custom ordered for the right size.
While we wait through this long and dreaded 2 weeks, there are so many thoughts, so many struggles, so many triumphs, so many joys. Right now I am trying to plan a few days away for us, maybe a mini road trip. I am faced with the possibility of needing more fertility treatments, more appointments, more trips to Minneapolis. This poses a challenge...I want to head up north to a cabin or B&B and get some kayaking in...but if we are in the middle of a cycle or near IUI time during the week that we can get this time away, we have to be within a reasonable distance to the cities for doctor appointments and such. It's only a few more days until we have our answer...and can get on with our life for a little while.
Who will tell whether one happy moment of love or the joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies. ~Erich Fromm
A friend told me the wait was killing her...no kidding.
The journey continues to be long and sometimes frustrating, but I just keep reminding myself of the beautiful life I have right in front of me.
The philosophy of mine earth can be summed up as this: Sunshine creates happiness, and I create myself. Nights are long and life is predominantly good. Wind is refreshing. Tea is wisdom. Do the best you can, and be good to yourself so that you can above all be good to others. ~Jessi Lane Adams
