7 weeks 1 day

This has been one of the most amazing weeks in our entire life, ever.  Brian and I saw the most amazing thing translated from what looks like a static filled television screen.  You know, the screen we used to see when the antenna was knocked out?  We saw this beautiful little spot on the screen with an amazing flicker, our baby and his/her heartbeat.  Up until this moment this pregnancy has seemed so surreal, just like the rest of them.  Now we have tangible evidence of a little tiny being growing inside of me, our first photo of our baby.  I am blissfully in love.

I have been ill daily, just a queasy, green feeling all day long.  It is tolerable, but there are definitely things that set me off or things that I just cannot eat or smell without my stomach turning.  I'm tired...so tired.  I have sat down to write this blog three times now, and gone to sleep after one sentence each time.  We'll see if I can finish it this morning.  I do well on my late days (when I work 1-9) other than starting to yawn at about 6 and despise my early days (7-3).  It seems the earlier I wake up, the more queasy I feel for the day.  The beauty of it all, I just don't mind.  I have waited for this for SO LONG!

Just five more weeks until we enter the second trimester, the next hurdle.  I am waiting for a call back from my clinic to get my first prenatal appointment booked.  This really is happening, I am just so excited and feel so blessed.

We're already thinking about how soon after we have this baby we want to start trying again...can you believe it??
