12 weeks 1 day

Other than continuing to be tired and occasionally ill...I am ecstatic!  Friday we had an ultrasound and everything looked...PERFECT!!!  Our baby was kicking and wiggling around like crazy.  Baby even jumped a couple of times.  Baby's heartbeat was 162 BPM.  We even got to see a couple of waves!


There is nothing better than knowing that all is great and having 12 pictures of our precious baby.


This whole experience is overwhelming.  Wondering all the time if things are ok and then having one appointment that takes all that wonder away.  The euphoria lasts for a while and then it's back to wondering...for now.  I can't wait to feel the baby and be able to see growth.


It's been a bit tough missing most of summer.  I've been too sick to do many of the things I would have liked to.  There are days that I wake up and think "today is the day, I feel great!" and then all of that goes out the window after I brush my teeth or eat and I'm back to feeling queasy and light headed.  I'll be making the most of fall as my schedule permits it.


I'd like to plan a little getaway for Brian and I this fall, but it likely won't happen until November.  Maybe a nice B&B somewhere.  Stillwater?  Anyone been to one that they love and would recommend?  Let me know if you have any thoughts.


Love is grand and life couldn't be more perfect.  Well, maybe...we can't wait to meet our little one!
